Hello everybody! We’re back with our wineries of Israel tour and this week we’d like to tell you about some of Israeli’s best boutique wineries for all you wine enthusiasts out there.
The big difference between the big guys and the boutique wineries is that the smaller vineyards are usually run by a family or small number of people, who put a lot of love and care into each bottle. There’s always a romantic story that comes with the wine, a tale of a vision, of hard work and hopefully success.
So here’s our quick Boutique Wineries of Israel Tour!
Tishbi is perhaps the first Israeli boutique winemaker. Although this winery is now one of largest in the state of Israel, the Tishbi family was the first group of growers that decided to open a winery. This winery runs a beautiful visitor center in Zichron Yaakov that overlooks the lovely vineyards and offers wine and cheese tasting.
Tzora Winery is also one of the earlier boutique winemakers and the first to only use grapes from the winery’s own vineyard. The winery operates from the heart of Kibbutz Tzora and offers a great opportunity to see both the Kibbutz life and taste some exquisite wine.
Domaine Du Castel belongs to restaurateur that dreamed about opening his own winery. Self-taught about the art of wine making through reading books now runs the winery in chicken-coop turned into an amazing estate.
There are currently hundreds of wineries and boutique wineries all over Israel. This is of course only a small taste of everything Israel has to offer. If you are interested in a boutique wineries of Israel tour, visit www.israeltours.com and we’ll be happy to make your dream come true!
